I recently visited a restaurant/nightclub and while the place itself was clean, I found it to be very small and incredibly crowded. I could definitely see this place becoming popular at night with their music and drinks, but unfortunately, the service was one of the worst I have ever experienced. We ordered five alcoholic drinks, and while one of our friends received theirs promptly, the rest of us had to wait a staggering 26 minutes before ours arrived. To make matters worse, when we asked the server for some water in the meantime, we were left waiting for 30 minutes before it finally reached our table. I wish I could say I'm exaggerating, but this was honestly the worst service I have ever received.
As for the food, the quesadilla was decent, and the wet burrito wasn't too bad either. However, I made the mistake of ordering the burrito bowl, and it was a complete disaster. The dish arrived cold, the cheese had a strange smell to it, and overall, it was just a truly unpleasant experience. Frankly, I cannot recommend this location to anyone looking for a satisfying meal, unless you don't mind overpaying for both the drinks and the food. Perhaps this place is better suited for those just looking to hang out.
I work nearby and have stopped by for lunch a few times. The food is pretty great. This time I got the chicken protein salad and for $13 it was quite a bit of food. I’m 6’1 280lbs and it filled me up. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. I brought a book to read and the staff were nice enough to just check on me occasionally as to not disturb. This place is underrated in my opinion.
We only had a few days in Riverside and spent quite a bit downtown. We stopped here later at night on a weekday. It was nice to see them still open and so many enjoying their time here when a lot of shops nearby were closed for the night. It is pretty quiet down here mid week or when we were walking around anyway. We were greeted right away and sat at a table near the heat lamps which was great because it was pretty cold. We’d already had a pretty big dinner elsewhere, but we’re looking for drinks and maybe an appetizer. I’m a sucker for Birria tacos so we decided to split a pair and added some charro beans. We ordered a Berry Drop and some Beer on tap to go with it. There were TV’s on to watch as well if alone or up for sports etc. our drinks came quickly and let me tell you the Berry Drop was phenomenal. I could throw quite a few of those bags, but I needed to find my way home ha ha. The beans were probably our favorite though heavily salted. The salt was overdone on everything. The tacos were ok, but again quite overdone on salt. We didn’t finish the tacos. I did not enjoy the consommé, bummer. The meat was good though. I will say the chips and salsa were some of the best we’ve had. The chips were crispy, but light. The chips weren’t over cooked or stale. The vibe was fun, service great for the most part though we asked for an additional plate that was never brought and it took a bit to get our check because the employee was chatting with someone. The location is small, but clean. I’d definitely recommend for drinks and the vibe, but still on the fence about the food.
Went on a recommendation from a co-worker about this place that they stumbled upon. A little confusing when trying to locate. Best results, just park and start walking around and you'll find it. It sits in between the buildings almost like an outdoor mall. A lot of food places to choose from but this place is a gem. Very tiny but cute establishment. Only outdoor sitting. A small tiny bar with only 6 seats but I guess if your early enough, you might be a lucky one that gets to enjoy that. The service is great. Very friendly, very quick and they stay on top of your needs. Then again it's so small they really can't ignore you or your table getting lost during busy hours and overwhelming guest, lol. The drinks are bright and refreshing. The food is amazing. A little pricey but worth it. In my eyes, the only down fall is that the music is a little loud for such a small place. I heard it's a happening place in the evenings but it's over run by college students from the near by schools. Definitely will be back again for another run for weekend brunch.
Some of the most authentic Mexican food I have had in a while. All drinks were prepared beautifully and were delicious. We had the Molcajete Bowl, Jeff Platter, and Fish tacos. EVERYTHING was perfect. The music level is loud, so be ready to party!!! I saw some other comments, commenting about poor service, but that was not our experience at all. Maybe just depends when you go. But we came on Saturday around 7pm.
This is my 3rd time here. The food and the vibe is amazing. I happened to go during the festival of lights so everything was busy but our food came out quickly. The food was amazing! I ordered the shrimp a la diabla and my boyfriend ordered the molcajete. We had some adult beverages and also some Mexican candy shots which were so bomb! I never do shots but these were awesome.
Definitely a must try when in downtown Riverside.
I came here for brunch w/ my girlfriend and it was pretty good. I got the huevos rancheros she got the birria breakfast tacos, both were pretty good though i wish the portion size was a bit larger. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has a nice friendly vibe to it though it's definitely more suited for people coming for a drink or more "adult" adults. Overall solid
Great place for date night or hanging out with friends. We had Diana as our server and she
Was very attentive and friendly. Will be back soon!!
